Developing Wholeness in Community
Avanti Cristo (formerly Beginning Again) is a fellowship and growth group based at the parish of Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano in Orange County, California dedicated to creating a community where non-married adults can develop wholeness in community, especially following divorce, marital separation, or death of a spouse. We seek to strengthen individuals in their spiritual, social, emotional and practical walks of life to better continue life as a single person or to properly prepare for entering into a new relationship based on Catholic-Christian principles. Singles who have never been married are welcome as most of our principles and activities have application to all single people, while being mindful that the primary focus is on moving forward with Christ after unexpectedly becoming single.
